What is The Character Method?

The Character Method was born from a simple observation: the world is moving faster, screens are louder, and somewhere along the way, the basics got lost. A firm handshake. A confident introduction. A handwritten thank-you note. Respect for an umpire, even when a call doesn't go your way. The ability to sit at a table, hold a conversation, and walk into a room like you belong there.

We're bringing those things back — one lesson at a time.

The Character Method is built on one belief: confidence, manners, and character aren't personality traits you're born with. They're skills you build. Through intentional, self-paced digital courses, we give children, teenagers, and young athletes the tools to show up with grace, compete with integrity, and carry themselves with excellence — in every room, at every age.

But what makes The Character Method different isn't just what we teach. It's who's teaching it.

Every program is anchored by a real mentor from founder Caroline Harris's own life — the teachers, coaches, and leaders who poured into her, held her to a standard, and helped shape who she became. She's bringing them back to life, one course at a time, so they can do the same for your child.

This isn't a course platform. It's a collection of legacies, passed down with intention to the next generation.

And it doesn't stop at video. Every lesson pairs a short video (less than 15 minutes)  with flashcards, a printable worksheet, and a real-world challenge — so the learning doesn't stay on a screen. It shows up at the dinner table, in the backyard, at practice, and in every ordinary moment your child meets throughout the week.

For families who want it, every lesson also includes a free, optional Faith-Based Companion Worksheet tying the lesson back to Scripture. This is our ministry before it's our business. Our deepest hope is raising children who stop and wonder what Jesus would think of how they treat a teammate, how they handle a hard moment, how they show up when no one's watching. If this course helps even one child ask that question, we call that a victory.
